OBJECTIVE
Objective
To support the Region of Umbria's Sustainable Development Strategy by educating and engaging citizens in a journey of civic participation, local empowerment, and shared responsibility. The goal: to foster a united community ready to invest in the sustainability of its territory.

SOLUTION
Solution
The year-long citizen engagement initiative, ACTYOU, enabled regional bodies to actively involve both citizens and public employees in sustainability strategies using practical and accessible tools. Dedicated communities were launched within the AWorld app for citizens and employees of the Region and its affiliated institutions. These communities received tailored educational content aligned with regional goals, and took part in interactive challenges with both individual and collective rewards. AWorld managed communication, tracked participation, and provided continuous support and regular reporting to enhance user engagement and maximize project impact.

Testimonial

“Our goal is to elevate the identity of a land rich in beauty, history, culture, and unique products by connecting these elements through the unifying thread of sustainability. This approach will help protect our heritage while fostering smart development. We must become, as I see it, active contributors to progress—always with deep respect for nature. Institutions and citizens alike must take this journey together, here and now, to promote a vision of growth that is balanced and future-focused, especially for the benefit of younger generations. This is the spirit behind the ACTYOU project, which aims to involve the citizens of Umbria in a shared mission: to act simply yet effectively as true allies of the environment.”
Roberto Morroni
Vice President of the Region and Regional Minister for the Environment
