CSRD

Implementing CSRD solutions

What is the CSRD?

The CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) is the cornerstone regulation for corporate sustainability in Europe. It extends ESG reporting obligations to approximately 50,000 companies, including large enterprises, listed SMEs, and non-EU companies operating in Europe above a certain revenue threshold.

As part of the European Green Deal, it aims to ensure greater transparency and standardization through the ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards).

CSRD sustainability reporting

CSRD: data quality through stakeholder engagement

Key pillars of stakeholder engagement:

Active involvement

through surveys, feedback collection, sustainability training, and generation of real positive impacts

Detailed reporting

of sustainability risks and opportunities (ROI), with a focus on stakeholder engagement across the value chain

Double materiality:

evaluating both the company's impact on society and the environment (inside-out) and vice versa (outside-in)

Stakeholder mapping

of relevant groups: employees, consumers, suppliers, local communities

The directive will be phased in gradually between 2024 and 2026.
